I am challenging folks to save the Naira equivalent of $1,000 (N365,000 or applicable amount) between now and the end of March 2019 and come April 1, 2019, your funds will be invested in an Open ended Dollar Mutual Fund that starts with a minimum of $1,000 in your name. Open ended means you can add to it at anytime; a minimum $ amount however. Talking about investing in dollars, No better time than now!
Throughout the course of the challenge, your funds remain with you ( and not with me or anyone) but you'd be able to save it in a way that will ensure you don't spend it. When the time comes for it to be moved into your Dollar account, your funds still remain with you and nobody will collect it from you. The Dollar fund is in your name as well. So at no point would you have to transfer your funds to anyone, except for the platforms to be used for savings and investing the funds and all would be in your name. How nice and safe does that sound? Cool I bet!
My task is to help you achieve your target by enabling an Accountability environment, amongst fellow savers, following up with you on the best way to achieving the savings target and helping you through the process of moving it to the investment account.
